4 DAY MORNING COURSES
The ILA Summer 2018 courses combine lectures on plays, poetry and stories by Great Modern Irish Writers from Ireland’s Ancient East with visits to places of cultural interest associated with these writers and their works.
Among the Irish writers included on the courses are: Oscar Wilde; W.B. Yeats; Claire Keegan; James Joyce; Edna O’Brien; Paula Meehan; Samuel Beckett; Seán O’Casey; Marina Carr; J.M. Synge.
Associated visits include: Joyce’s Tower in Sandycove; the Tenement Museum in Henrietta Street; the Yeats Exhibition in the National Library of Ireland.
The Irish Literature Academy offers bespoke courses in Irish literature designed to suit the needs and tastes of visiting groups, colleges and institutions. The academy can discuss holding one-off lectures or course length classes on specific topics, themes or genres in Irish literature that are of interest to your group. Times can be flexible to fit in with busy schedules.

READING FOR PLEASURE AFTERNOONS
Spend a relaxing afternoon or two with tea, cake and a talk on celebrated Dublin writers, W.B Yeats or Oscar Wilde. These literary meetings take place off-campus in the comfortable ambience of a Dublin hotel, and will be followed by a curated visit to a nearby place of special interest to the writer.
